I agree! We are longing for spring it seems, in our house anyway. Ava keeps asking me when it will be March because her preschool teacher told them March is the month that spring starts. Tecnically, yes. In Minnesota, not so much. Spring arrives in June. Really I think the season could be called Spummer, because we really don't get much of a spring at all. All of the talk of warmer weather made me look back at the pictures I took over the summer, and I realized I never posted anything about our trip to the state fair. So here you go, happy wishing for warmer weather!
Luke absolutely loves sweet corn, and you can get roasted ears of corn dipped in melted butter. He was sooo greasy by the time he was done, and loved every bite. I miss that white mop of hair...
And of course we checked out the Miracle of Birth barn. Really pretty cool, they have many different animals ready to give birth and if you are lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you feel about animals giving birth), you might get to watch it happen while you are at the fair. We missed a calf being born by 30 minutes, but got to pet newborn piglets, a huge hit for Ava.
Wish I could have been chauffered around with my feet up all day...
The whole fam, after a fun filled day! And very full after pronto pups, cheese curds, ice cream from the dairy barn, Sweet Martha's cookies (my personal favorite), all you can drink milk for $1, sweet corn, and a strawberry smoothie. I feel full just after writing that list!
