Preschool and Piano

My sweet little Luke started preschool today! He was so excited!
He got a new backpack, nearly as large as he is. And picked one with Buzz Lightyear (or Buzz Yearlight as he says). Once you get to school it is very important to wash your hands. And then of course, play with moonsand. Luke has been longing to play with this table full of moonsand ever since we dropped Ava off for her first day of preschool. Practically an eternity of waiting for a 3 year old. When I picked him up today (he was glad to see me, I might add), I asked him what he did. Here is the summary that I got:

"I played with moonsand, played in the sandbox, had a snack, and got in line. And I did not sit in the take a break chair." (whew!)

Then in the van he said, "That was great! I lost all my energy." (Not true, the energy part.)

So it was a success. Hard to believe my little boy is going to preschool. Just yesterday he looked like this... What a sweet little guy. I can't believe how fast it has gone...

In other news, Ava started piano lessons! Ava loves music, always has, and has been asking to take piano lessons since she was 3. She has always loved singing, and could sing songs and carry a tune since before she turned 2. She has been very diligent practicing. Lesson number 2 is Thursday!
*Editors note~ Andy took the photos of Luke in preschool. Thanks for the fabulous pics Andy! And, please excuse the mess behing the piano. We are still in the midst of the basement renovation and have piles of things everywhere. It just needs to be done!!!!!
