When you buy a house, you inherit landscaping. I have spent the past couple of springs figuring out what plants are and have done some transplanting, hoping to revive some plants that were here from the previous owners. The first year we were here, I noticed what I thought was a weed planted between two dying shrubs, but for some reason, I didn't pull it, and lo and behold, it turned out to be a bleeding heart. It wasn't growing very well, so last spring I transplanted it to a better spot, and this year it has grown and blossomed beautifully. It is truly stunning.

I think the flowers are so beautiful, the color this year is amazing.

And our garden is starting to grow! Here is one of our cucumber hills.

We are thankful warmer weather is finally here, and there are green things growing again! Happy spring!

Your bleeding heart looks beautiful! The cucmbers coming up are motivating. I've decided to plant some zucchini around our back patio - hopefully today!
