Because they are awesome...

Ava recently was given the movie "Kung Fu Panda" by the tooth fairy (the night daddy played tooth fairy, he is much more generous than when I play tooth fairy). She and Luke are constantly"practicing" their kung fu now all over the house, on the trampoline, in the pool, you get the idea. It has become an obsession. Ava has also been really into writing short stories. Put the two together and what do you get? Three pages of awesomeness. Andy and I can not stop laughing over these!

A quick note about this last page. Ava was feverishly working on this last night at bedtime (past bedtime actually). I told her she would just have to finish it in the morning and she said, well, I'll have to get up really early to get it done. I said I thought she would have plenty of time. This morning I had an early meeting at work, and was just to get in the shower at 5:30 AM (grrr, the least favorite part of my job, Friday morning board meetings), when I hear a knock on the door. It is Ava. I am shocked and ask her what she is doing. She says she needs to go to the bathroom, I say fine, and then you need to go back to bed. She says, no mom, I have things to do. I guess the life of a six year old is quite demanding these days!
