Reality

Andy and I just got back from a pastors and wives conference in Vail, Colorado. It was lovely, despite snowing 8 inches at the Vail summit upon our arrival. Thankfully the weather improved, but it was still chilly (in the 30s!) at night.A huge thanks to Aunt Barbie for having Ava and Luke for most of the week. They had a blast and were thoroughly exhausted. A sure sign of fun. But now it is back to reality. A new part of that reality was learning my dad has stage 3 lung cancer a few weeks ago. I write this to encourage prayer, not sympathy, and because my blogging may be a bit sporadic this summer as we spend time with family. God remains faithful and in control, and we continue to trust him. You can follow Dad's journey at
