A busy weekend

Wow! Where did the past week go? We had a great trip to Chicago to attend a church planting conference with our friends Pam and Jamie Buchanan. The adult time was nice, the conference was good, and the food was great! You have to love Chicago style pizza and good Italian food. We did get to hear some good speakers, and yes, I did enjoy hearing Mark Driscoll for the record. I have been getting asked that question a lot! After the conference it was home for a crazy weekend! On Saturday we took Ava to her first concert and she LOVED it! Jenifer Westberg was so wonderful to score tickets for us to a Go Fish concert. Go Fish is a Christian acapella singing group who make "music for kids that won't drive parents bonkers." Check out their website www.gofishguys.com if you are interested. I have to say I really enjoy their music, Ava loves it, and Andy acts like it drives him nuts, but I catch him singing along or tapping his feet, so I know deep down he likes it too. He has gone so far to admit it is better than Veggie CDs. On Sunday we took the kids to a Superbowl party at a friends' home, and they have a huge projection TV. Ava was mesmerized! Cinderella would have been life-size on that! She also informed us she was going for the "white team" (the Giants) and then they won! Luke worked the room and charmed everyone, what a social animal he is! The rest of February is looking to be just as busy as this past week. Hopefully I'll get a few posts in here and there so you all know we're still alive! I don't really have any pictures that go along with this post, but here is a good one of Luke. Enjoy!
