A shout out to Laura

My dear friend and former roommate Laura recently had her appendix out and said I needed to post on my blog more so she would have something to read while she stays home from work to rest and recover. So here's hoping she is resting and recovering and reading my blog! Laura is one of those rare friends you find that will always be there for you. No matter where I live, what is going on in life, she has always been there for me. She gets me. She understands me. And she is not afraid to call me out when I am doing something I shouldn't. I treasure her friendship so much, and love her dearly. And best of all, she loves March Madness just as much as I do. Hope you are feeling better Laura!

In other news, I just got back from spending a few days at a retreat for pastor's wives. It was a great time of relaxing, catching up and just hanging out. I spent a couple or hours lounging by the lake yesterday afternoon. So nice. Andy, meanwhile, was at home with the kids and then got sick. Luke and Ava had both been sick the week before and of course when I am gone, Andy comes down with it. But he was great, stuck it out, and I am so thankful I have such a wonderful guy to come home to, sick or not. And tonight we have National Nite Out with the neighborhood. Should be a good time.
