My Tuesday morning did not turn out as planned. What I had planned was to get up, make breakfast, and take the kids on a walk to the park so they could play on the playground. What I got was Luke falling down the stairs and crashing into a wall, splitting his head wide open and another trip to the doctor to get him patched up. Andy was at the EFCA National Summit (in the cities, but quite a ways south), so he had left early and would be gone all day. Ava was still in bed, I was still in pajamas, Luke is gushing blood like a fountain, and Andy is an hour away, stuck in traffic. So once again I call on our good friend Coley to come in and rescue me and hang with Ava while I take Luke in to get put back together. Thanks again Coley! This time, instead of strapping Luke down to a board and stitching him up, they used glue. Numbed his forehead with something on a cotton ball and superglued him shut. He has been looking pretty tough the past few days, though!
Kind of hard to tell, but he had a nice matching stripe on his nose!
Other than trips to the doctor, we have been enjoying the amazing weather. Luke was given a stomp rocket for his turn as ring bearer, and both he and Ava have been having so much fun with it. Stomping on something to shoot a foam rocket into the air? What more could a boy need? As long as he stays away from the stairs!

Ouchies - I cut my leg open when I was 4; it left a nasty scar, but then the doc did a terrible stitch job. I understand glue works wonders. Best wishes for him.
(just a passer by)
