The big zoo

Yesterday we went to the Minnesota Zoo! Ava had been looking forward to this day for quite sometime, and was especially excited because Aunt Rosie was going to meet us there. The weather wasn't quite as nice as we were hoping, but we had a great time anyway. Here is Luke with a blowfish. He loved the aquariums and seeing the fish from underwater.

The otters were really fun to watch! They put on a great show for us!

One of the favorite parts of the zoo was for the kids was "the farm." Goats, pigs, cows, sheep, pretty much everything you don't have to pay to see in Minnesota. That was the highlight! :) We even watched a cow get milked!
Here, Luke is giving a goat a hug. And of course we had to "drive" a tractor. John Deere of course.

Another favorite was the tide pool in the ocean exhibit. Water would rush in and fill the pool, then the water would calm and you could see starfish and clams and anemones. It was beautiful.

The tired crew at the end of the day. We are already looking forward to our next trip!
