How much is that puppy in the window?

Halloween. One word can conjure up so many memories. Costumes, candy, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, and if you live in Minnesota, usually freezing cold temps. This year was the exception to the rule, however, and we were blessed with amazingly beautiful weather. It was the first time since we have lived in Minnesota that I have actually been able to feel my toes the entire duration of trick or treating. Without 3 pairs of socks and my Columbia snow boots. We took the crew and headed out to Willmar to visit Sara's sister Barb and her family. Ava and Luke were so excited to dress up with their cousins and tag along on their trick or treating route. First we carved pumpkins. Ava and Maggie had their dads carve cats on their pumpkins. Way to go Scott and Andy!

Then it was on to the costumes. We had a puppy costume from Aunt Barbie for Luke, and he had absolutely refused to try it on and the one time Andy had pulled it over his head he had cried, so we were a little worried that Luke would be going trick or treating as himself (still would have been awfully cute as himself, however). But Andy got him to try on the costume, and then he wouldn't take it off! I had black pants and a shirt for him to wear under it, but we decided not to mess with him, so the puppy had blue and green legs. Ava was a fairy princess, Maggie was also a princess and Jake was Anakin Skywalker (before he was turned to the dark side, of course).

Then we headed out into the beautiful fall evening for trick or treating. We had a great time, and it was all the more special to share it with cousins! Thanks for the great weekend Abrams!

The end.

Oh my goodness, where did your niece get that shawl?! I'm on a hunt for something similar...

Oh, and I love that picture of Luke with the puppy eyes! You have such cute kids!
