The tree fort
Because we don't have enough things in our backyard already to entertain the kids (please note the sarcasm), Andy decided the kids needed a tree fort. Really, I think Andy needed a tree fort or maybe just a project, but I digress. I personally was a little apprehensive about building a structure enabling my children to hang out in the tree tops given Luke's propensity to dangle and fall off things, resulting in stitches. But I tried to be the cool mom and go with the flow, and just made it perfectly clear to Andy that the next trip to the ER for stitches or broken bones was his responsibility. (Who am I kidding, right?) So we packed up the fam and headed to our neighborhood Home Depot, bought a little lumber and voila! One tree fort coming up!
I must say Andy did a great job and made it as safe as possible. Until one of them tries to crawl over the railing on to the nearby branches. I am just holding my breath until that one happens. The floor is about 9 feet off the ground, so it is up there a ways. Luke climbing up and down a 9 foot ladder, need I say more?
Ava finally has her princess balcony. Rapunzel, Rapunzel... oh wait, we just cut off all of her hair!

That looks like quite the tree fort! I'm sure it will provide hours of entertainment, and hopefully no accidents :)
