One Decade

December 18 was our 10th anniversary! Yep, 10 years of marriage under our belts. It is so hard to believe that we have been married for 1/3 of our lives! (ok, exactly 1/3 for Andy, not quite that for me, yes, I am older!) When I got home for work yesterday, these greeted me in the kitchen:

So beautiful! We went out for dinner and a movie (a very sweet young couple from our church volunteered to watch Ava and Luke) and had a great time. We are planning a little getaway to Florida in a couple of months to celebrate a little more, it is just not a great time of the year to be taking vacations with out the kids. Should have thought of that 10 years ago! This anniversary has caused me to think back on the past 10 years, and wow! So much has happened.

• We have moved 5 times (6 if you count our 3 month stay at the Causeys)
• We have bought 3 houses and sold 2
• We have remodeled three bathrooms, and much more
• Between both Andy and I we have had 9 jobs, including our current ones
• Two little people have entered the world and our lives and brought us more joy than we imagined
• We got a dog, and then got rid of the dog
• We have lived in a city of 3 million (Chicago) and a town of 200 (Villard, MN)
• Andy has planted 2 churches
• We both graduated from college, and one of us is working on a masters
• We have discovered grey hair (and it stinks)
• Andy has lost count of the number of wedding ceremonies he has officiated
• Sara has lost count of how many loads of laundry she has done
• Everyone has been to the emergency room for stitches (except Sara, unless you count giving birth... yeah, that counts)

We have traveled, met so many new people, made dear friends, lost loved ones, had to make agonizing decisions, and have been blessed beyond measure. We agree it has been the best 10 years of our lives. Can't wait to see what the next decades bring!
