Ava, Ava

As much as we talk about Luke being funny, Ava has her moments as well. She is a thinker, and every now and then says something that just cracks us up. Here are a couple of her latest and greatest...

After Luke passed gas in the van (which happens A LOT!), Ava came up with this joke:
"What is the capitol of Tootsville?"
Answer: "Luke!"

The other day as we were walking into the garage, past a gas can:
"Mom, do you want to know something weird about me? I kind of like the smell of gas."

And possibly one of the all time greats, which happened a couple of years ago...

Ava had a bad hang nail on one of her toes, and hates having her toenails clipped. She was pitching a major fit, so Andy held her on the couch and I clipped it very quickly, and painlessly, though you would have thought it was going to kill her. She sulked around for a while. Andy's parents were coming for a visit, and when they got to our house a few hours after the hangnail incident, Ava was still being a little dramatic. When Grandma asked her what the matter was, she got this answer:

"Mommy and Daddy held me down and did bad things to me."

Great. My first thought was, "I can never take this child out in public again!" After a little explaining to Grandma and Grandpa, we all had a good laugh. And thankfully she has not said that to some random cashier! Ava, Ava :)
