I guess some things never change! I think Andy's shoes are about as long as Luke is tall. They were both pretty proud of their accomplishment, and one of the few times they were not very mobile. I wish Luke would do this more often!
The next day was another first, which again I had to document for the family photo album:
Something I hope Luke does NOT do more often! He accomplished this while I was in the bathroom, and again was very proud of himself. He even managed to get a marker cap off and was ready to do some damage. After our little stitches episode last week, I hope the climbing craze wears off soon.I am so thankful we live in a time where technology has made photography so inexpensive and easy. I wish that I had more pictures from when my parents and grandparents were younger. It would be fun to see their firsts, and to hear their memories of when those photos were taken. I recently did some work on a family book about my dad's side of the family that can be traced back to the 1200s. By work, I mean I scanned in a copy of a copy of the book onto my computer and enhanced pictures and cleaned it up and printed it out so it was readable. It was so interesting to read about the lives of people who lived so long ago that I would never know, but had a major impact on my life. And it was interesting to look at their portraits and see if there was any resemblance at all. Maybe someday our pictures will end up in a book, and our great-great grandchildren will look to see if there is a resemblance. Hopefully our pictures will reflect a life lived with joy and godliness. And hopefully that won't be a first, but a tradition.
