It has been a while since I have written anything! We have been busy! On Thursday we are leaving for a long weekend to visit Andy's parents in Clear Lake, IA, and both of his grandmas, who live in SE Iowa. Maybe the weather will be a little warmer down there! I am tired of winter. Ava and Luke continue to keep us hopping. Here is Luke's latest:

Here's to Clarence...
I first met Clarence when I was 9 or 10. I really don't remember someone formally introducing us, all of a sudden he was there and part of our lives. He was older and retired and loved being at our farm, kind of like our hired hand. He helped with chores, fixed machinery and was an incredible wood worker. I have things in my house that Clarence made, some I use every day. He was kind of like our second grandpa, he and his wife celebrated birthdays with us, and I don't know how many gallons of coffee he and my dad drank together. My parents moved off the farm when I was in college, so I have seen Clarence less and less over the years. Andy and I would always try and visit whenever we made it back to Iowa Falls, but it has been a while. My dad called me this morning and told me Clarence passed away last night in his sleep. I am sad, but I know Clarence is in heaven today because he loved the Lord. What a great Easter reminder. We'll miss you Clarence.

I had to get the shop-vac out for this one! Cheerios everywhere!

I remember Clarence! I think I "helped" him move some cattle to a different field one time - although I'm quite sure that whip he gave me did no one any good at all :-) He was quite a guy. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
