That's what little boys and girls are made of, you know the old nursery rhyme? This came to mind while we were playing outside yesterday (FINALLY) in beautiful 60 degree weather. Luke was pretty much rolling around in the dirt and Ava was happy to swing on the swings and managed to stay pretty clean.

Andy was doing a little yard clean up and Luke had to get in on the action. Check out those fingernails! It took a lot of scrubbing to get those clean! We had a great time swinging and going down the slide and playing in the yard. When Luke got up this morning, one of the first things he did was bang on the door in the kitchen, like he was saying let me get back out there! As soon as it warms up a little we will be back out there. It is amazing how well they sleep after being outside in the fresh air for an afternoon. We are thankful the warmer temps are finally here, let's just hope they stick around!

In other O'Rourke news, Luke has been doing great with out the pacifier. I think he was ready to take the plunge! He also just learned how to eat with a spoon, another major milestone!

Ava continues to make us laugh daily. Her new thing is asking how God made everything, like the other day "Mom, how did God know how to make my purple room like this?" or "How did God know how to make these muffins how I like them?" She is learning how to write her letters and numbers and memorizes books like crazy. She loves to "read" the book "If You Give Mouse a Cookie" to me, and I'll bet she doesn't miss five words. She is looking forward to having us put the trampoline up!
This will probably be the last post in a while as we (Andy and Sara) will be heading down to Florida for 6 days on Friday (YEA!). There is a church planting conference in Orlando next week and we are going a little early for some R&R. Bring on the beach! A big, huge thanks to my mom and sister Barb for taking our kids for us. We are really looking forward to some time away. Kind of ironic the weather is just starting to get nice here! But it has been 80 in Orlando this week, so I am not complaining. We'll give you the full report when we get back. Happy spring!
