Is it really April?

After spending the weekend in southeastern Iowa and enjoying 60 degree weather, this is what our backyard looked like when I got up this morning:

I promise this is not an April fools joke; I really wish it was. Our poor evergreen tree is leaning because we have SO MUCH SNOW! Just when you think cold weather is over, Minnesota rears its ugly head and gives you another foot of winter to dig out from under.

So we have another day inside. Since we won't be catching fish on any Minnesota lakes anytime soon, we decided to have some goldfish crackers for a snack this morning. It seemed to cheer everyone up!

We had a great time visiting Andy's parents and grandmas in Iowa. It is a trip we don't get to make very often, and it was fun to catch up with everyone. I even managed to have dinner with my dear friend and college roommate, Laura! It was so much fun to see her and catch up. And for some reason, even though Iowa had record amounts of snow this year, we didn't see much of the white stuff until we crossed into Minnesota. Kind of like crossing over to the dark side, except in this case it is the white side. And being as it is April, I am not liking the white side so much! Bring on spring!

I am so glad I got to see you! and I have officially read through every post and viewed every picture. Luke's hair cracks me up...mullets aren't good though. It may be cool in minnesota, but YOU ARE FROM IOWA! and nice cheerio mess and i am sad that bubba will have a scar for life. Tell ava I am truly amazed by her coloring job. She has skills.
