Toothless

Ava has been working on her first loose tooth. When I got home from work today, losing the tooth was imminent, so I snapped a quick picture of Ava with a complete set of baby teeth.
A few minutes later, we had officially moved into the teeth are falling out stage...
She was very relieved (as was mom) to have this out of the way. She has been stressing for weeks about it falling out at night and swallowing it (I tried to assure her this was very unlikely), or having it fall out at school and losing it (a bummer for the tooth fairy visit), or having it come out during a coughing spell (she has been a little under the weather) and having it fly across the room. Thankfully it got to the point of being loose enough that a little twist popped it right out. Now she is worried there won't be enough room for the "adult tooth" to come up. Luke was very impressed and told me "he can't wait for adult teeth!" I don't feel old enough for my babies to have adult teeth. And what is the going rate for the tooth fairy these days, anyway. I'm sure there has been inflation in the past 25 years...

Way to go, Ava! You didn't even tell me you had a loose tooth! You are growing up way too fast - SLOW DOWN!
